How I can export clips at 120fps on JVC Everio?
I record on my JVC GZ-MG145AA at 120fps, but the images I get off the Hard Drive is at 25fps. How I can export the images at 120fps? I want to do slow motion 25fps sections is not enough. NOTE: I have to capture footage as it is recorded Hard Disk of the camera. I get the files directly from hard disk
I'm pretty sure that consumer camcorders have only one speed "High" Video Capture option are certain specific Sony Video cameras for consumers with "SmoothSlowRecord" feature. I do not think that are captured at 120 fps ... but it is possible that the shutter speed to 120 (which would be 1 / 120 seconds that the shutter stays open). The JVC GZ-MG145 is a Camcorder Pal has 25 frames per second - and it is. Even with Sony Video Cameras, SmoothSlowRecord when the feature is used, when video is transmitted, it the camcorder is 25 fps (frames per second or 30 if NTSC). That is why playing slowly. Without a high-speed capture ability, the best thing to do is increase the highest shutter speed you can without making the video too dark (maybe you can open the diaphragm?). Then apply a slow-motion effect with the video editor you are using. I've shot a basketball game with a shooting HDV 1080i camcorder to 1 / 500 shutter and slow-motion effect applied by the video editor has done a decent job. The default is shutter 1 / 60 and get results fast action shots in slow motion blurred (or in a frame grabs).
