How to get away from the lens does not want to focus in the dark?
from time to time I have that problem. in a dark room my camera / lens do not know where to focus. focuses in and out and my flash "shaken" until finally found the subject and the shutter and my flash fires. Does it make sense?
What kind of camera ... n a small fire with automatic focus point (only) or, do you have the option of Manual Focus a breeze. The fluttering red from the flash is as you described, a beam of deduction to help the autofocus mechanism.
